Visit Quad Cities came to us with an idea: they wanted to get event planners and tourism promoters excited about the Quad Cities, and they knew they wanted to give them a gift of a wooden spoon that was hand crafted in the QC.
With this goal in mind, we created the “Stir Crazy Challenge.” This dynamic direct mail piece was an invitation to participate in an online scavenger hunt (a pandemic-safe approach!) to see the unique qualities the QC has to offer.
Utilizing an upscale varnish printing, the finished piece called for the perfect ingredient to success – the audience. More than 100 planners received the direct mail piece. Plus, an added dose of joy was Visit Quad Cities winning the Iowa Tourism Award for Outstanding Niche Market Initiative, which honors excellence in a tourism initiative targeted to any niche audience.
