MindFire Light the Spark Scholarship Application

    • Your digital portfolio or PDF should showcase your best creative work including but not limited to:
      • Photography or video
      • Illustration
      • 3D Modeling
      • Animation
      • Graphic design work
      • Writing samples including essays, articles or creative writing
    • Examples can include coursework, work used in extracurricular activities, work created in internships or work created on one’s own motivation.
    • All work must be original work created by the applicant. Plagiarism will result in the automatic disqualification of the applicant.

By competing for this scholarship and/or accepting the prize, entrants agree that MindFire Communications, affiliates and advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and all of their respective employees, officers and directors will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by entrants for any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind to person and property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of the prizes, or participation in this scholarship contest. By accepting a scholarship award, each recipient consents and grants MindFire Communications a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use their name, city, comments, photographs, creative materials and/or other likenesses and their entries for publicity, advertising or informational purposes, including without limitation, posting on MindFire Communication’s website, Facebook pages, Twitter or Instagram accounts, with no additional compensation or further permission (except where prohibited by law), as well as distributing to media.

Any recipient of a scholarship shall provide MindFire with a completed IRS Form W-9 (and any other reasonably requested information) prior to receiving a scholarship award. Recipient shall be solely responsible for any tax liability resulting from the receipt of a scholarship award. Any scholarship award may be subject to federal, state, local, etc. tax withholding.

Any dispute arising from this Scholarship Contest will be determined according to the laws of the State of Iowa, without reference to its conflict of law principles, and by entering the entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Scott County, Iowa and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
