We’re heating up the blog today by putting Marketing Arsonist Kristin Enright on the hot seat! Kristin is a St. Ambrose alumna who WOWed us with her PR experience and organizational skills. We were thrilled to have her join the MindFire crew in June 2019. Does she have what it takes to survive the hot seat? Read on…

What tasks keep you busy as a Marketing Arsonist?

I spend a lot of my time managing where projects are, so I can keep our teams and clients up-to-date on all the moving parts. In other words, I make sure everything gets done when it’s supposed to – kind of like herding cats. I also do a lot of proofing of various items and set up meetings with our clients.

How did you end up in the marketing field?

When I was a freshman in college I thought I had everything figured out. I was majoring in psychology with plans to go to grad school for Occupational Therapy. After taking my required communications class with my professor, he told me I should become a communications major because of my public speaking abilities. I told him no because I had everything planned out but after that class, I ended up adding a communications minor.

As my junior year rolled around, I realized I was about to finish my psychology major and I had no classes to take my senior year. I went back to my professor and asked him if it was realistic for me to double major in psychology and strategic communications, and the two of us sat down and figured out how to make it work. During my senior year I noticed how much I enjoyed my communications classes and decided I wanted to continue to do communications beyond graduation. That’s how I got where I am today.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I want to go to Italy! I think seeing all the history in Rome would be AMAZING.

Go-to coffee order?

I always get a hot caramel latte.

What’s one of your favorite hobbies?

My favorite hobby is to spend time with my family and play with my dog Rudy. He is a Labrador Retriever, and I am always teaching him new tricks when I get the chance!
